What type of music will you enjoy?-
Contemporary choral music is a diverse, evolving genre spanning late-20th and 21st-century repertoire for professional and skilled choirs. Characterised by lush harmonies, and varied textures it blends traditional elements with modern influences. With special guest instrumentalist, come experience the genre that Danu Young Women’s Choir does best as we all sing one of our all time favorite songs ‘O Love’ written by Elaine Hagenberg.

Barbershop music is an exciting style of unaccompanied four-part a cappella singing, known for its close harmonies and unified sound. All voices move together on the same lyrics, creating a fun connected performance.
Its signature ring comes from perfectly tuned chords that seem to shimmer in the air. Each part plays a vital role: the lead (S2) carries the melody, the tenor (S1) adds bright high notes, the baritone (A1) fills the harmony, and the bass (A2) provides a rich foundation—blending into a sound that’s vibrant, expressive, and unforgettable.

Gospel choral music is a powerful, soul-stirring blend of rich harmonies, heartfelt emotion, and uplifting spiritual energy that can send chills down your spine. With thunderous crescendos, call-and-response rhythms, and voices soaring in unity, it transforms faith and feeling into an unforgettable, electrifying experience.
-
Contemporary pop choral music fuses the catchy hooks and polished sound of modern pop with the rich textures of layered vocal harmony. It’s vibrant, accessible, and often reimagines familiar hits into dynamic, emotionally charged performances that feel both fresh and instantly recognizable.
